Manchester United and Netherlands goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is currently preparing for his fourth European Championship.
Fresh from his match – winning save from Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League final in Moscow, van der Sar is eagerly awaiting the European Championship competition to be held jointly by Austria and Switzerland.
The thirty seven year old goalkeeper sees this as his last opportunity to lift a trophy for his national team.
He began his career at Ajax Amsterdam in 1993 when he broke through the ranks to become the clubÂ’s number one keeper.
He won his first international cap against Belarus in 1995.
He had since played for Juventus and Fulham before joinin…
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will be hoping his Liverpool renaisance can continue, while Portsmouth will continue what looks to be an impossible battle to stay in the Premierleague.
Liverpool have finally started to show some form this season and now find themselves just a point behind Manchester City in 6th place. They really have some work to do to reach that crucial fourth placed spot in order to gain champions league football, but it s only in recent weeks that the have looked like being able to put a run of results together. A lot is down to the returning form and fitness of Steven Gerrard and Fernndo Torres. Any team stripped of its two prize assets will struggle, and Liverpool are no different. However, now they have both players back with a few games under their belts, I…
Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books and I’m trying my best not to overreact to some of the results, but too many incidents have me shaking up my NFL power rankings heading into Week 2. Even though top of the list didn’t see much movement, there are plenty of movers and shakers from 5th to 32nd.
In games on a neutral field, every higher-ranked team would be favored or, at least, a pick ’em on the in this format. For two teams ranked closely together, the difference in the spread would be a home-field advantage (if any), which varies slightly from team to team.

The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles were two of the betting community’s favorite teams heading into the 2022 season and now they will meet under the prime-time lights of Monday Night Football at Lincoln Finacial Field.
When looking at the markets for Vikings vs. Eagles picks, I’m expecting another big day on the ground from Jalen Hurts, while Kirk Cousins will take what the defense gives him for another very efficient performance.
Here are my favorite NFL player props for the late Monday Night Football game to end Week 2.

Super Bowl 58 has superstar players on both sides of the ball and San Francisco’s Nick Bosa might be the best defensive player of the bunch. Bosa’s ability to pressure Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes could be one of the most pivotal storylines in our Super Bowl predictions.
Bosa hasn’t lived up to his lofty standards this season, and coupled with the Chiefs allowing the second-fewest sacks in the NFL, his defensive player props are currently at lower numbers than usual. That makes it extremely tempting to bet the Over on Nick Bosa odds this Sunday.
I break down the Super Bowl odds and bring you my free NFL picks for Bosa at Super Bowl 58.
Be sure to also check out our full Chiefs vs. 49ers predictions before placing your Sund…
Fine. I admit, this is selfish. No one else on the staff was ever as excited about the prospect of a Music Week featuring Pearl Jam as the unifying theme, even though this band's sports-music connection is more obvious than most. They'll deal. So, yes, most of the music content will be devoted to Pearl Jam to help commemorate the band's 20th anniversary, but I promise to not let my fanboy tendencies completely dominate the site. Once, maybe. Twice, tops. We'll have some special guests contributing this week that I think you'll enjoy regardless if you hate the band or not. We'll also have other music content that won't have anything to do with Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, or Mookie Blaylock. We'll also be giving awa…
data-mm-id=”_evf9ein3r”>Not long ago, Michigan was in free fall. Gone were the days of being the hottest, fastest-rising team in college basketball. The blistering 7-0 start and unprecedented poll ascension were in the rearview. Losers of nine of the last 13, the Wolverines were in serious jeopardy of missing the NCAA Tournament entirely if some form of stabilization couldn't be found. With backs against the wall, first-year coach Juwan Howard was under the gun to find answers and find them fast. And he did. Time after time. The Wolverines responded. They cruised past rival Michigan State before destroying Northwestern and Indiana. Then on Tuesday they did something no other team in the country had done this year: Go to Rutgers and emerge with a victory. Without Isaiah Livers, who…
data-mm-id=”_itzuzhmwr”>The Players Coalition, a charity and advocacy organization founded by Anquan Boldin and Malcolm Jenkins in 2017, has collected the signatures of 1,400 athletes and coaches in support of a bill that would end qualified immunity for police officers across America. Qualified immunity currently protects police from being held personally responsible when they are accused of brutality. Among those who have signed in support of the bill are Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Dak Prescott, Carson Wentz, Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr. You can read the letter and look through the signatures here. Via ESPN:”Qualified immunity has shielded some of the worst law enforcement officials in America. The 8th Circuit applied it to an officer who wrapped a woman in a bear hug, slammed her to t…
